Version 0.0.9 Release


Hey, everyone!

A bit of a late release today, but fresh and hot out of the oven!  This devlog is gonna be pretty short, since this is mostly a quality of life update to tide you over for the next big one. Let's go over the bug fixes first:

  • Fixed an issue which caused data saving to not function correctly after returning to the title screen
  • Fixed an issue which caused the pause button to register the first input twice.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the Ice Queen's staff to be layered incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where waves would still begin while the upgrade menu was open.
  • Fixed an issue where the player's speed would reset after attacking.
  • Fixed an issue relating to the rain in the 'Night Life' game-mode
  • Fixed an issue which caused the player to be able to 
  • Fixed the keyboard menu navigation.

Next up, we have a few new additions to the game:

  • Added full controller and keyboard support for menu navigation.
  • Added the developer console (use the '~' key to access it in-game).
  • Added 2 new skins (Transcendent Juniper and Pandemonic Juniper).
  • Added the ability for game settings to be saved.
  • Added a secondary win condition to the Pomegranate fight (Maybe less violence can be a good thing?).
  • Added a knockback force upgrade to the upgrade menu.
  • Added an indicator to the HUD that displays the current cooldown for the spin attack.

Finally, a few miscellaneous updates:

  • Updated the menu backgrounds.
  • Updated the game HUD, upgrade menu, and main menu.

Pretty simple one here. Most of the big things are gonna be coming in the next update. Not too much else to say about it this time.

Just a quick reminder that Princess Panic will be releasing a demo sometime next year, along with a few other projects coming up, so keep an eye out.
